The Scottish Environment Protection Agency (SEPA) are supporting a multi-agency response to an ongoing fire at a site in Linwood Industrial Estate, Paisley.

SEPA are supporting a multi-agency response to an ongoing fire at a site in Linwood Industrial Estate, Paisley, which is licensed for dismantling and testing waste electronic and electrical equipment (WEEE) for the purposes of recycling.

In an update issued at 10:30 am, the Scottish Fire and Rescue Service (SFRS) confirmed local residents are safe to go outdoors and removed guidance to keep windows and doors closed. Residents are asked to avoid the immediate vicinity where possible as crews continue work to extinguish the fire.

SEPA officers are working closely with partner agencies, have attended the site on Burnbrae Road and will continue to monitor the situation closely.
