Local Environmental Issues

The Mossmorran complex is located on the outskirts of Cowdenbeath, north of Edinburgh. The complex consists of the Fife Natural Gas Liquids (FNGL) Plant and the Fife Ethylene Plant (FEP).

Grangemouth is Scotland’s largest industrial cluster, with multiple large operators focused on fuel production, port operations and logistics as well as chemicals and pharmaceuticals manufacturing.

Daldowie fuel plant, located south of the M74 in Glasgow, produces biomass pellets from sewage sludge taken from the surrounding area.

The ENVA composting site, located in South Lanarkshire, treats green waste through an in-vessel composting process.
