Remembering former SEPA Agency Board Member, Nicky Chambers

The Scottish Environment Protection Agency (SEPA) is sad to learn of the passing of former Agency Board Member, Nicky Chambers.
Nicky, who served on SEPA’s Agency Board from January 2022 to July 2023, died on Monday, 19th February 2024, aged 57.
Nicky obtained an MSc in Environmental Technology from Imperial College and has worked in many areas of sustainability, from policy roles at the CBI and the World Travel and Tourism Council, through technical roles and management consultancy.
In the 1990’s, she founded award winning consultancy and software provider Best Foot Forward which was acquired in 2013 by Anthesis. She helped globalise Anthesis before roles as CEO of a negative emissions technology business and recently as Director of Impact with 'Data for Nature' NGO Global Canopy.
More recently she served as mentor for the Nature Recovery Network and as Co-Chair of the technical experts group supporting development of a taskforce on nature related financial disclosures.
