Board paper: Audit, Risk and Assurance Committee (ARAC) terms of reference

Purpose and recommendations

This paper is to seek Board approval to extend the Audit, Risk and Assurance Committee (ARAC) remit to explicitly include AI governance. This amendment was agreed by ARAC on 16 June 2026 to be submitted to the Board for approval.  

The Board is asked to approve the amendment (5.1.4 in Appendix 1) to the ARAC Terms of Reference to extend the remit to explicitly include AI governance.
