This activity is for the management of a source containing radioactive material or radioactive waste which is not subject to an EASR authorisation and is not on a nuclear site.

Rules
If you intend to carry on the management of an orphan source, you must make Notification to SEPA. There are no associated General Binding Rules with this notification. SEPA reserves the right to escalate this notification to a permit if appropriate.

Notifications for orphan sources are valid for 6 months from the date of notification.
