Warm and dry weather across Scotland has affected river flows and ground conditions in some parts of the country.

As Scotland’s bathing water season begins on 1st June, the Scottish Environment Protection Agency (SEPA) continue to monitor and provide information on bathing waters used by communities and visitors across the country.

Scotland’s environment regulator has confirmed that work to remove radioactive particles from the foreshore at Dalgety Bay and prevent future contamination has been completed.

“As with any severe weather event, our teams at SEPA worked around the clock with public partners to prepare for significant flooding impacts over the weekend.

Rivers levels across the North and North East of Scotland remain high but will continue to improve across Sunday, with no rain forecast for the next two days.
