Kirsty Paterson

Chief Officer, People, Workspaces and Development

Kirsty is SEPA's Chief Officer, People, Workspaces and Development leading bold, transformation across the organisation. Since joining in August 2023, Kirsty has been driving SEPA’s vision for a modern, agile, and inclusive workplace - putting people, wellbeing, and performance at the heart of change.

She leads initiatives across HR, organisational development, workplace planning, and health and safety.

Before her arrival at SEPA, Kirsty served as HR Director, Group & Construction, at the Robertson Group, a major UK construction firm and her previous notable contributions to the staffing efforts behind both the London 2012 Olympic Park North and the Glasgow 2014 Commonwealth Games.

Educated at University of Stirling, she holds a Bachelor of Arts (Honours) in Sociology and Social Policy. Kirsty is a Chartered Member of the CIPD, underscoring her professional commitment to HR excellence.
