30 years of SEPA
We've been at the heart of protecting Scotland’s environment since 1996. What began with the merging of 64 predecessor bodies into a single national environmental regulator has grown into something much bigger 30 years on.
Today, we’re not just a regulator, we’re a scientific authority and a trusted resilience partner. We work alongside communities, industry and government to deliver cleaner waters, healthier places and a more sustainable future for everyone. We'll be updating this section throughout our anniversary year.
