Local Plan Districts (LPDs)
There are 14 Local Plan Districts (LPDs), which cover the whole of Scotland. These are geographical areas where flood risk management plans are used to manage flood risk. It is a statutory requirement for SEPA to review the LPD areas every 6 years. They were updated in December 2024 following a review.
In March 2024 we held a stakeholder consultation on the LPDs. We asked stakeholders to comment on the 14 LPDs and that SEPA proposed no changes to the LPD boundaries. The consultation outcome was that there are to be no changes to the LPD boundaries.
