An improving flooding picture today (Tuesday), though coastal impacts are likely on Orkney and in Aberdeenshire due to high tides and waves.

Coastal flooding across the North, North East, South West, Northern Isles and Western Isles remains likely today (Monday) due to a combination of high tides and large waves.

High tides and large waves mean the risk of flooding for eastern and northern coastal areas, Orkney, Shetland and Na h-Eileanan Siar will continue today (Sunday).

The risk of flooding for coastal areas along Eastern coastlines, Orkney, Shetland and Na h-Eileanan Siar is expected to continue over the coming days due to a combination of high tides and large waves. Regional Flood Alerts and Local Flood Warnings are in place. Further Local Flood Warnings are expected to be issued over the weekend.

Flooding across parts of northern Scotland is expected on Monday and Tuesday as rivers respond to heavy rain.

Some disruption due to flooding is possible over the next three days.
